PART A - SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Cancellation of Order
1.1 Cooling Off Period - Undelivered Goods. The customer has a cooling off period of 7 days after the initial purchase date, during this time the customer has the right to cancel an order. When a deposit or full payment has been received then this amount will be refunded minus an administration charge of 10%.
1.1.2 Cooling Off Period - Delivered Goods. The customer has a cooling off period of 7 days after the initial purchase date, during this time the customer has the right to cancel an order. The delivered goods must be in same condition as delivered for GLOBAL IMPORTS & RETAIL S.L. to accept them. When a deposit or full payment has been received then this amount will be refunded minus an administration charge of 10%, and also a minimum charge of 50€ will be made for the recovery of the products in question.
1.1.3 Cooling Off Period – Products Made to Order. The customer has a cooling off period of 7 days after the initial purchase date, during this time the customer has the right to cancel the order. The deposit will be refunded minus a 10% charge. If however, the goods have already started being manufactured, i.e. Carballo sofa´s, then the 50% deposit is strictly non-refundable.
1.2 After 7 Days. If 7 days have elapsed since the order was placed and the customer wishes to cancel then it will be left to the discretion of GLOBAL IMPORTS & RETAIL S.L. (GLOBAL) to decide if the deposit or proportion of the payment will be refunded.
2. Changes to an Order
2.1 Stock Items. If the items are standard stock items, the customer has the right to change his/her mind on sizes or model. If the products have already been delivered and assembled then an administration charge of 10% will be made, and also a minimum charge of 50€ will be made for the recovery of the products in question.
2.2 Non Stock Items. Items that have been especially made to order, for example European Heritage or Carballo Sofa´s, if undelivered and not manufactured can be changed. If the products have been manufactured in part or full then GLOBAL IMPORTS & RETAIL S.L. (GLOBAL), will issue a credit note for the value of the goods minus 50% deposit and a charge of 10% will be made for administration.
3.1 Payment in Full. Payment in full can be made at the store by cash, credit or debit card.
3.2 Cheques. We do not accept cheques.
3.3 Deposits. A minimum deposit of 50% will secure any item, a lesser deposit can sometimes be arranged by prior agreement. The balance of payment is then due on or prior to the delivery either by cash or at the store by credit or debit card.
4.0 Storage, Deposits, Payments & Delivery
4.1 Future Orders. Where GLOBAL are taking orders for furniture on the basis that the property the furniture is destined for will be finished at sometime in the future, then a minimum deposit of 50% will be required for GLOBAL to process the order.
a) GLOBAL will agree with the customer an expected delivery date for the furniture.
b) GLOBAL fully recognise that the Spanish construction industry is suspect to slippage and as a gesture of goodwill GLOBAL will store the furniture for upto 2 months after the expected delivery date free of charge.
c) Once the 2 months free storage period has elapsed then GLOBAL will require payment in full of the furniture in storage.
d) Once payment in full has been received then free storage of the goods will continue until the customer is ready to take delivery.
PART B - GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
At GLOBAL IMPORTS & RETAIL S.L. (GLOBAL) we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items. By law, customers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven days of the day after the date the item is ordered. This applies to all of our products.
2. Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect.
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or, in accordance with our returns policy, because it is damaged or defective, we will refund the delivery charges incurred in delivering the item to you. GLOBAL will check all items returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item/s and to recover our fees and expenses from you.
3. Guarantees and Claims under Guarantee
3.1 The provisions of clause 3, apply in addition to your statutory consumer rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed products. These rights are not affected by the guarantee.
3.2 We guarantee all products against faulty workmanship and/or faulty materials for a minimum period of 24 months from the actual date of the first delivery. If the frame or mechanism breaks or fails, we will repair or replace, if necessary, with the same model if available or another model to the same value. Please note, this guarantee applies to frames only; the guarantee does not cover fabric or cushion interiors.
3.3 These guarantees do not cover undue wear and tear; neglect; abuse or misuse of your goods; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, water, damp, coastal humid conditions, lightning, sunlight, weather, rusting, corrosion, theft or explosion; accidental damage or loss or damage caused by a third party.
3.4 We will arrange to repair or replace the defective or incorrect item free of charge. Should a part no longer be available, it will be replaced with a part that most closely matches it.
3.5 We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered products over and above the value of the goods themselves. This does not affect your statutory rights.
